Certification
Where a formal qualification is not the immediate
priority the programme can be used as a stand-alone work based
programme. A Certificate of
Achievement will be issued to learners who successfully complete each
part of the programme. The
knowledge gained from completing the programme will then greatly assist
the learner if they later decide to seek a formal qualification.
Formal Qualifications
National Certificate Examination
The Dental Nurse Programme
is an excellent study
tool for those who wish to seek qualification through the National
Certificate Examination.
The Dental Nurse Programme has been praised by these students and
their mentor’s as invaluable in helping them to achieve this
qualification.
Learners
wanting to sit the examination will need to contact the National
Examination Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN) for further information on
this option.
NVQ/SVQ
The
Dental Nurse Programme can also be used to support the NVQ/SVQ
in Oral Health Care Dental Nursing Level 3. The activity based
workbooks help learners build a portfolio of evidence,
which, when used in conjunction with assessment, can be used towards
NVQ/SVQ.
Learners wanting to gain the NVQ/SVQ in Oral Health Care Dental
Nursing will need to register with an accredited centre. For further
information on this option and details of your nearest NVQ/SVQ accredited centre
