Structure Under current legislation the taught component of the NMC validated Extended and Supplementary Nurse Prescribing courses (v200 and v300) must take place within a higher education institute.  The Nurse Prescribing Programme will accompany the practice-based assessment of that training in an open learning format for the student and the mentor, and will form a sound basis for any future developments which may enable more of the course to be delivered by distance learning.
